February, 2024 - A committee judged Citrus County Science Fair projects and awarded one middle school winner. The student will share her project and receive her award during our March meeting. Please plan to join us on 03/14/2024 to meet a budding scientist and congratulate her.

June, 2023 - Three high school seniors were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship at our June meeting. Scholarship winners were Molly Malek and Kameron Weidner both from Lecanto High School and Garrett Hickman from Crystal River High School.  Congratulations to them and best of luck as you continue your education.

MAY, 2023 - The Education Committe is proud to share that winners of our 2023 scholarships will be awarded at our June meeting.  Please join us to meet the recipients. 

FEBRUARY, 2023 - A Committee judged Citrus County Science Fair projects and awarded four winners - two high school, one middle school, and one elementray school. Students will share their projects and receive their awards during our March meeting.

JUNE, 2022 - The Education Committee awarded Ms. Kendall Barker of Crystal River High School a $1,000 scholarship.  She plans to continue her education focused on environmental sciences and marine biology at the University of South Florida beginning in the fall.  

MAY, 2021 - The Education Committee is proud to announce our award winner for the 2021 Homosassa River Alliance "Voice of the River" Scholarship.  Our outstanding scholarship winner, Natalya Donaldson, will be our guest of honor at the June 10 River Alliance meeting, to be held at 7 pm at the Homosassa Civic Club.  Come by and congratulate our winner!
